System is a Ryzen 3950X, 32Gb memory, Asus ROG B450 motherboard. Fresh install of Windows 10 w/ all updates and Radeon RX 6700XT. Sister system Ryzen 3950X, 32Gb memory, Gigabyte X570 Gaming motherboard. Fresh install of Windows 10 w/ all updates and Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb.
System 1 (RX 6700XT) out paces system 2 in all benchmarks (3D Mark Timespy, Heaven, F1 2020) In Destiny 2 it struggles to even maintain 60 FPS at 1080p. Temperatures aren't an issue and GPU load stays below 70% while playing Destiny 2. Long load times from orbit to planets as well. No issues like this on system 2.
I've tried DDU drivers and reinstall latest drivers. Clean install of Destiny 2 to NVME and SATA SSDs (no change in performance) RX 6700XT originally installed in System 2 with same performance issues. Swapped back to Nvidia and issues went away. Built system 1 to test without constantly swapping parts in System 2.
Not sure what else I could try. Is Destiny 2 a game that will never perform well on AMD?
