I personally think it would be a great choice. I really like 1440p for desktop and gaming. I may be in the minority but I like the bigger size that 1440p gives and it certainly still looks very sharp. Your choice of card will drive that display very nicely too! You really still need an extremely powerful card to do over 60fps at 4k. Your card should do 1440p at higher refresh rates currently and likely a couple years into the future well also. I have had many Acer Monitors and they last well. I love that the IPS monitors like this one now can do 144hz and still give the benefits of better color too! Plus it has HDR and 1ms response. I don't think you can go wrong for the price.
