PC crashes during initial launch of most games

Dear Comrades, please help me in fixing these crash issues.

I do a lot of gaming. Recently I put a ton of money to build my custom gaming PC with both AMD processor and AMD GPU. I love AMD products but now I may have to change my opinion if this doesn't get fixed.

I am able to play games like csgo in 2K resolution at 250+ fps most time on my 27inch 144Hz monitor. It never crashes while playing CSGO.

But i am unable to play other games. When I tried playing GTA5, the game starts playable and after hardly 1 minute of play time, system abruptly crashes and restarts. Just like that. No dump files to debug it properly. Just few events in windows 'Event Viewer'.

This same behaviour happened while playing Darksiders WarHammer Edition bought on Steam.

To reproduce crash, launch the game, start campaign or whatever, and during the play within 1 minute it crashes the PC.

I am missing life during this Corona time. Lockdown at Home and no fun. It's sick.

I tried WhoCrashed and it always shows -  No valid crash dumps have been found on your computer

It's not a temperature issue I believe.

I tried benchmarking my GPU using Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and It runs great. No issues here.

I tried reinstalling windows and other solutions but all in vain.

I don't know what to do given I am new to this windows ecosystem. Please help me in fixing this crash. I will do what necessary steps that you suggest and share the results.  Thank you.

UPDATE  1

Now my system in crashing randomly at any point. Using WhoCrashed reveals mindump content as below.

I tried to reinstall windows. During full reset of windows also, my PC crashed multiple times.

I see that it is not just related to Graphics card, it is more about PSU or motherboard issues maybe.

Update 2:

Thank you guys for the support. But I tried few suggestions, but they are not working.

So, I tried by replacing my Graphics card with my friends GPU.  Now, it is working great with no crashes. I used Radeon RX  580 Series Sapphire Pulse GPU and my system is running flawlessly since last 5 days.

I am perplexed why my system crashes randomly with 5700XT but not with 580. The only difference in system assembly is that RX 580 needs 8pin  Power supply and RX 5700XT needs 14 pin power supply.

I even tried by changing PSU but it is not helping.

I tried by inserting my GPU (5700XT) in my friends system and it is working great. Now I am more confused.

I am guessing that there is no issue with either GPU or my system or my friends system. I feel there might be some compatibility issues.

Please help.

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

Hi I have similar issues you need to go into ATI Radeon Control Panel - Select Gaming Tab then Select the game with problem then click 'Tune Game Performance' and make sure Advanced fan control is enabled, Zero RPM option disabled if shown and also Power Tuning Enabled and set the Power Limit too -10%. (Make sure to save this profile too load on each boot).

This worked for me!

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

Your processor is not working properly. BSODs you got show this with high probability. Look for the problem with the CPU, not the GPU. Try to reset the BIOS to factory settings. Try to give manual Core Voltage or try to give manual Core Ration with the BIOS.

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

Sounds exactly like the issues I'm having. The majority of it happens in Unreal Engine games, but also when using Blender 3D and Firefox.

My system ran perfectly with my GTX 1060.

I'm running a R5 3600.

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR! Run tests for the CPU.

Prime95, OCCT and FurMark CPU Burner can be used. If you encounter the same error, return the motherboard to the store where you bought it and get better.

That is your VRM.

That is a quality VRM on x570!

The processor you use is not ordinary. I hope you consider what I wrote!

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

I previously used OCCT to stress test CPU. I allowed it to run for 25 minutes. It did not report any issues. The temperature of CPU went to 94 degree C and is handling such stress. You are right that something might be corrupt in BIOS maybe. I do have default settings and mostly under auto config. I do not have much fundamentals on setting voltages. I will try that.

These days I am able to run my PC sometimes for 5 hours and suddenly it might crash for no apparent reason. I will debug it.

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

No fan issues. I even did try with power tuning also. There is no pattern for crashes with Radeon Settings.

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

You should contact the store you bought the mobo. A better mobo will be better for you. With manual vcore, you probably solve the problem but problems may occur in the future.

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

EDIT:

Ideal for 3900x is 240mm liquid cooler. Also motherboards try to run the processor with OC constantly, with an option like AI Tuner with BIOSs. In this way, motherboards do not consider the TDP limits. Goodluck...

Re: PC crashes during initial launch of most games

first thing check to be sure the latest BIOS is installed

then for RX 5700 class cards, 19.12.1 seems to be the best driver for them at the moment
