PC Black Screen Crashes with Audio RTX 5700 XT

Hi there,

I've recently ran into an issue with my PC that I can't get to the bottom of. My PC has gone to a black screen twice while playing The Outer Worlds out of nowhere. I still have audio, and my second monitor (which has output from the motherboard, not the GPU) still displays, which leads me to believe my GPU is the issue. I'm about 10 hours into the game and have had no issues at all until now.

My relevant specs are:

MSI MPG Z-390 Gaming Plus Motherboard

Intel i7-9700k

Powercolor Radeon 5700 XT Red Devil

2 x Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2666 MHz RAM

 Corsair 240GB SSD

 Samsung EVO 860 1TB SSD

 Corsair 1TB HDD

Corsair CX750 750W PSU

I have checked my GPU drivers and they are all up to date, and have monitored and stress tested the GPU for overheating. It idles at around 40 C and peaks at around 70 C in-game but rarely gets above 65C. It draws a max of 215W in game, so I don't think power draw is the issue since I have a 750W PSU which seems plenty.

Any other ideas? I've been using my PC for about an hour since it happened, and played the game for around 10 minutes without the issue re-occuring for now. The only difference is I unplugged my Razer Kraken headset.

Thanks for your time.
