Graphics Cards

New RX 7900 XT (From amd.com/shop) not detected. No "light(s)", no output. Multiple AMD systems.

Just received order# (available on request) from AMD shop.
Removed the card from the box, placing into system #1. Plugged PSU back in and powered system on. Resulted in no video to output. (2x DP, 1 HDMI and 1 USB3.1Gen2/DisplayPort via usb-c to DP -> adapter).

When observing boot sequence video card is not detected in BIOS despite fans spinning. No rgb/lighting of any type displays on the physical card. When viewing Windows Device Manager, using integrated iGPU or second PCI card, there is no entry for any other "display device".

Visual inspection of card found no obvious defect. Confirmed proper seating and connection of two PCIe 8 pin plugs (from separate psu headers).

Is there an official Support process? (Checked for stickied threads/FAQs)

Their support system seems to be offline until January 5th.

You can try calling them, here is a list of numbers for a couple of countries:

Tested on a 4th system :

CPU: AMD 3700x
MoBo: GigaByte DS3H WiFi (v2)
RAM: 2x 16gb GSkill Flare 3200 CL16 , 2x 16gb Trident-z 3200 (tried separately)
PSU: Corsair HX1000i
tried with updated BIOS, setting PEG from Auto to Auto to Gen3 (then 2 then 1) and trying both PCIe slots.

and same result..
no video from any of the ports (DP, hdmi, usb-c).
Will attempt warranty next week when site is back up and working.

After providing "proof of sales" response back from AMD so far is they will not offer a refund (for a defective card?), instead will only provide a "replacement" as package was not "unopened". /sigh

"Resulted in no video to output. (2x DP, 1 HDMI and 1 USB3.1Gen2/DisplayPort via usb-c to DP -> adapter)."

Remove adaptors and connect GPU straight to monitor or television

It is not supposed to look like this:

Not sure if that is sarcasm or just an attempt to humble brag about your awsome system there

That ." (2x DP, 1 HDMI and 1 USB3.1Gen2/DisplayPort via usb-c to DP -> adapter)" was a list of outputs attempted, not a single attempted connection.

DP out #1 (7900XT) ->DiplayPort In on monitor, --DP 1
&
DP out #2 (7900XT) ->DiplayPort In on monitor, ---DP 2, thus the "2x DP"
&
HDMI out (7900XT) -> HDMI Input in monitor, -- "1 HDMI"
&
USB-C out (7900XT) -> USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter -> DisplayPort In on Monitor -- " 1 USB3.1Gen2/DisplayPort via usb-c to DP -> adapter"

AMD issued a full refund, Picked up a Gigabyte Aorous as didn't feel like dealing with possible BBA/Reference issues.
