Graphics Cards

Hello everyone.  Please be gentle as I'm new here...

I have a rather nice computer that came with a AMD Radeon R9 380 Series card, which, for the most part, works fine.  However, some newer games cause it to splutter and stall.  I want to invest in a new card, but my question is this:  How do I know that my computer can run a new card?  I don't want to spend money, only to discover that my PC isn't up to running a better, higher quality card.

What else would I have to look for?

Depends on the PSU and its wattage rating that you have installed.

IF you have a PSU with 550 or more watts, you can purchase any RX 4xx or Rx 5xx series GPU Cards for your computer as long as you have a PCIe x16 slot (Should be the same slot as the R9 380 gpu card is installed in).
