MSI RX 580 ARMOR OC 8 GB Mouse freezes with 2nd monitor problem

Hi all, would appreciate any help or ideas with this problem:

Serious mouse pausing/lagging issue when second monitor is plugged in. Lags/pauses every few seconds, system basically unusable. I just unplugged second monitor and *presto* issue is gone but obviously I want to be able to use two monitors. Any ideas?

Windows 10 64 bit, 32gb ram
MSI RX 580 ARMOR OC 8 GB
Latest WHQL Radeon driver 22.5.1 Win64bit

You can try running the program called DDU and remove all past/present AMD (and Nvidia if you ran an Nvidia GPU on this install of Windows) .. reboot .. and THEN install latest GPU drivers from AMD

Also .. make sure your chipset drivers are up to date
