Resolution keeps changing to what it shouldn't be still.
Bump.
Bump. AMD Settings is the problem behind all these issues. If I don't kill the AMD Settings process, it just continues changing resolution back and forth forever. It's also not in the "Startup" tab in Task Manager which means I can't just disable it on startup.
Is there any fix towards these problems?
This is what I did (found tutorial on some other forum)
Go to REGEDIT with admin rights
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/CLASS/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0000
then go to DALNonStandardModesBCD1
right click on it and select modify
in a new line type in
14 40 09 00 00 00 00 60
that is for (1440 x 900 x 60Hz)
You can do this for other resolution as well.
19 20 10 80 00 00 00 60
(1920 x 1080 x 60Hz) for example.
close/restart and that is it.
Now I have that resolution (1440x900) in windows/display and in ATI CCC as well.
Cheers.
