HDR on r9 290 and displayport 1.2/HDMI 1.4

So I wanted to try HDR on some games and in windows 10 on an LG 32GK850F-B monitor using displayport and an LG C7 OLED using HDMI. However, the r9 290 only have displayport 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 and neither of those are supposed to support HDR. In the windows 10 display settings the HDR toggle is there on both display but it automaticaly turns off when I tried to enable it. HDR also doesn't work on both Mass Effect Andromeda and Far cry 5.

However, it does work in Hitman using both HDMI and displayport and both on both the display tested the HDR icon shows up and looks better, especially on the OLED.

So, how come I am able to enable HDR even if my card and the outputs aren't supposed to support it and is there a way to force enable it in windows and other games ?

Thanks
