Hi. I have Dell Optiplex 990 (Prosessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz) with AMD Radeon 6450 (1GB) graphic card - running Windows 10 Pro with all latest updates. Monitor (Samsung SE790_S34E790C) is connected with a displayport cable (new) to the displayport on the graphics card. When I select resolution of 3440X1440 and 50Hz, everything seems normal, but if I select 60Hz, the screen will show a flickering stripe across the screen. (I have added a small video to show the problem). On every restart I also get a windows message on screen "A display capable of DisplayPort v1.2 data rates and multi-streaming is currently connected to a connector that does not support DisplayPPort v1.2. Therefore, only DisplayPort v1.1a features are supported. For example, only the first display in a chain will be enabled".

I have tried many things, but the "flickering stripe" across the screen, never goes away - unless i lower refreshrate to 50Hz.

Any help on resolving this issue would be great.

All the HD6450 specs I looked at have max digital resolution 2560 x 1600 60 hz, not knowing your exact make/model ?

The make/model of the PC is Dell optiplex 990 i7 with an added small form factor AMD Radeon 6450 with 1GB ram - (model 320-2378). PC model has Service-ID: 4F3825J 

The option you mention (2560x1600 is not showing up as an option in windows. (see attached)

I noticed a strange behaviour: If I open the Netfflix app and just minimize it to taskbar, I have no flickering.

The max res. is/was to support up to 16:10 aspect ratio monitors.

I don't have a 21:9 monitor or TV, you'll have to see which, 1440 or 1080 option is more suitable for you.

Netflix I also do not have, so can't help with that.

One of the specs I checked was a Dell card, perhaps Samsung support/forum can help with what the monitor capability is with that card, or maybe also Dell support/forum..
