DisplayPort Issues with RX480

I just got my new monitor, Asus VG278.  The monitor is capable of 165hz, but only with DisplayPort.  With HDMI it can only show 120hz.

My problem is that when trying to plug in the DisplayPort and switch inputs to DisplayPort, the monitor turns black and no menus open.  On my other monitor though, connected using HDMI, it just flashes a few times every 5 or so seconds and it feels very laggy. 

When going into AMD Radeon Software, it detects the monitor plugged into DisplayPort.

 

Is this issue something related to the monitor or is it something with my GPU?

Have read a while back of CSM enabled causing issue with DP ?

Yeah I had a similar problem, eventually, I got an output on display port, but I had to switch my refresh rate to 144 to stop the glitching
