Dell XPS 8300 - upgrading video card

have Dell XPS 8300 - Intel i7 2600 CPU 3.40 GHZ 4 Core, 1 TB HD, 64 bit win 10 home - Had a AMD Radon HD 5700 Series 1GB - I want to upgrade to XFX Radeon R5570 8GB - I updated Bios, upgraded to 32 GB Ram - Best Buy said it would work. I can't load driver software for upgrade while old card is in there, but when I put new card in - monitor doesn't work. Never had this much trouble updating a video card.

That's a PC from 2011 and a GPU from 2017, so while backwards compatibility is supposed to be possible, issues can arise. Honestly your best option would be to buy a new PC, but if you want to keep it, I would suggest asking in Dell's forums, because it may be an issue specific to the custom motherboards Dell uses.
