Dell precision m2800 - Amd Firepro w4170m freeze problem

I have a dell precision M2800 in which a builtin AMD Firepro W4170m Graphic Card is installed, since I bought this machine I was never able to install the driver for this graphics because every time I tried to install the driver, the process is freezes after some time and then I was not able to operate the laptop. I tried every method listed on different platforms on the web but no one worked. After many tries, I have found a solution that an older version of the driver is working for the graphic card but with that driver, you won't be able to access the full functionality of your graphic card, I think I have installed a 2010 driver which was not fully supportable and compatible with windows 10.

Yesterday, I have installed the Windows 11 operating system in the hope that maybe Microsoft and AMD fixed the problem and now the latest driver will work for me but no luck! My laptop is again stuck during the installation of the AMD driver. I must mention that I tried all the methods which are available on the internet but no method worked for me. Now I am worried that how I will fix this issue because I am using my laptop for graphics and editing work and without a proper driver, I would not be able to utilize the functionality of the AMD graphic card. Therefore, I need your support if anyone can help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks

Nvidia has a program called "Power Mizer". I also have a precision, but I have an Nvidia card. It gives me a black screen a few seconds after the desktop has been loaded. I downloaded the program and set everything to medium, and it hasn´t crashed anymore. However, the program will actually downclock your GPU and limit its power consumption.

I don´t know if there is something like Power Mizer for AMD cards, or if it is compatible. Try it out!

Thank you so much for your response, but I have different issue, I can go to the desktop and can operate my laptop normally, but whenever I try to install the driver of AMD graphic card , it freezes my computer.

I have  checked the power mizer but it only work with nvidia devices

If you have a Dell Laptop for the AMD driver to work correctly you must have the latest Intel Graphics driver installed plus the latest CHIPSET and BIOS installed: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/precision-m2800-workstation/drivers

It is best to use Dell's own AMD driver first to make sure everything works correctly then try to update to the latest version from AMD Download page.

Here is Dell Support Download page for your laptop: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/precision-m2800-workstation/drivers

Here is AMD Driver for your W4170M GPU card: https://www.amd.com/en/support/professional-graphics/mobile-platforms/firepro-mobility-series/firepr...

If the above keeps freezing then it might not be compatible with some hardware in your Laptop so try downloading a previous AMD Driver from here and see if it start working normally: https://www.amd.com/en/support/previous-drivers/professional-graphics/mobile-platforms/firepro-mobil...

Hi!
So solutions above did't work for me and i found another!
Big thanks for he guys who dig in it before.
Step 1: Go to  - https://www.dell.com/community/Precision-Mobile-Workstations/No-decent-GPU-driver-available-for-M280... and download Nov-2017 driver
Step 2: Go to your device manager and find PCI express root control (well for me it was like that) and update it with file from step 1 as usual. Reboot and PCI Bus must replace PCI express root control(google search tells us that's same thing but PCI Bus is driver from AMD rather microsoft one)
Step 3: update your  W4170M
Mine is 27.20.21026.2006 now rather 15. from dell
