Can't set main display when I extend the displays, "make this my main display" grayed out

Hello everyone. I recently had to have my computer repaired and it required a wipe of (actually the installation of a new) hard drive.

Since getting the computer back I have been unable to use the "Extend These Displays" AND select "Make This My Main Display" in the Windows Display Settings. It is grayed out. I have checked for updated drivers, found them on the Dell site and installed them.

Before having the computer fixed, it was able to do this without a problem. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? The required information is shown below.

Many thanks and Happy Holidays.

Andy

Thank you so much for your time and your reply. I actually found a solution at tenforums.com. I went ahead and bought DisplayFusion and it gave me back control of my monitors for $14. With the time it would have taken me to resolve this it solved my problem and saved me money.

I suggest you also post a query @ http://www.tenforums.com/ re the settings greyed out.

Only thing I can think of is multi monitor setting in mobo bios(if you have it).

Ryzen 5 5600x, B550 aorus pro ac, Hyper 212 black, 2 x 16gb F4-3600c16dgtzn kit, Aorus gen4 1tb, Nitro+RX6900XT, RM850, Win.10 Pro., LC27G55T..
