Can ryzen 3200g and Rx550 work together to boost performance in an amd PC?

I think my desktop is underperforming, it can barely run fortnite, having roughly 26fps. Csgo at 40fps, and Dota 2 at 40fps. The settings that I set when playing are 1080p with medium graphics. When I check my radeon drivers, it says vega 8 apu is being used. Is my rx550 used? I've also updated the drivers for the gpu.

My specs are

A320 Asus Prime

Ryzen 3 3200g

1x8 Ram 2666mhz

120SSD

1TB HDD

700w PSU

RX 550

I'm new to setting up computers,

so I guess I'm pretty much blank about this problem.

You've likely plugged into the wrong HDMI port on the back of your PC.  Your Radeon RX550 has its own HDMI input, separate from motherboard's built in HDMI input.  head around to the back of your PC and see if there's another place to plug your video cable into.

I don't have an HDMI cable. My desktop uses only VGA. I'm still considering to try this method.

They won't work together it's one or the other.

Open up Device manager.

Under display adapters find your vega graphics.

Right click on it and select disable.

This will force your computer to use the video card.

Thank you. I've tried disabling Vega 8. Now, it runs worse. 4 fps, really. Is my graphics card broken? or

Was your rx550 showing in device manager?

Is it showing in the radeon software under settings>System>hardware?

Is the monitor plugged into the graphics card or the motherboard?

Yes. The gpu is plugged in the motherboard.

I meant the cable from the monitor to the computer, where do you have it plugged in?

It's plugged on the motherboard.

Change that so you are plugging the monitor into the graphic cards outputs.

Your going to need to get an HDMI to VGA cable then I'm afraid.

Reenable the vega graphics and run off that until you get the new cable.

Oh. I'll try that. Thank you for the replies, this has been frustrating me for a while now, and I've just bought this computer for over a week now.
