Here is another Tech site for Processor that shows the same information as WikiChips: https://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Zen/AMD-Ryzen%205%20Mobile%203500U.html

AMD many times doesn't include all the specs of their processors.

According to WikiChips website that APU supports a Maximum of 4 Displays: https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/ryzen_5/3500u

- at the moment I have connected to the laptop only one external monitor via HDMI;

- with that adapter from USB to Display Port will i be able to add at least one more, because on the official Lenovo forum I was told that it doesn't work because the processor only supports one external monitor and in addition the USB port would not support this adapter;

[have you used this type of adapter before, because i would like to buy it and i am in doubt with what the support specialist from Lenovo said

I Guess you are talking about USB-C port on your laptop.

The APU supports 4 displays  but that depends on your laptop's specs whether it will support more than one external monitor.

If your Laptop's USB-C supports MST then you can connect more than one external monitor on that port.

You can try using a HDMI Splitter to connect two HDMI monitors to your HDMI port on your laptop or on your USB-C Port.

I suggest you open a Lenovo Support ticket and ask them how you can connect more than one external Monitor to your laptop.

I wasn't aware of a regular USB 3.0 to DP Adapter. So I can't comment on the subject.

Here is from Startech Specs concerning that adapter: https://www.startech.com/en-us/audio-video-products/usb32dp24k60

Found this at Lenovo website advertising a StarTech Triple Monitor Dock for USB 3.0: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/accessories-and-software/docking/docking_usb-docks-(universal-cable-d...

But I have no idea if your startech adapter will work or not. I suggest also to open a StarTech Support ticket and see what they say.

I searched the AMD site but did not find the information with four monitors like the one on the Wikichip site.
[ how good or true is the information on Wikichip?
