A few of us playing WWII Online have noted that users with AMD GPUs experience excessive load times when launching the game. It takes anywhere from 3-5 minutes for the game to launch. Beyond this, in-game performance (framerate for example) is not impacted.
NVidia users are reporting the game loads anywhere from 10-30 seconds by comparison.
My system specs:
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
- 16GB DDR4 3200
- AMD RX 480 GPU (probably the only thing I'd upgrade at this point)
- Game's installed on a Samsung 970 EVO 1TB NVMe 3.0 SSD
Trying to collect more reports. Another model that's been reported is AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.
The suspicion right now is a possible driver issue. I'm currently running the most recent driver, but I also tested some drivers between 2016-2020 to see if any recent driver changes may have caused an issue.
