I would like to upgrade the GPU but do not want to change anything else. Is there an upgrade that I could just pop in?

4K by just upgrading to a better GPU. As far as price, the lower cost the better, as long as I'll see a significant difference.

RX-6800  it have ray tracing and it is around 600$  however you might see some driver issues since it is new video card

RX 5700 is cheaper but we have some issue with drivers (you can fix it ) and it dose not have ray tracing

i have 5700 x but i am playing 1080P so idk how good it will be for 4k 

also you might need to check your motherboard I am sure that you can use 5700 on it but I am not sure about 6800

Ok. So I guess, as you already stated, I should be more clear. I'm now playing games 4K via the display port with this card that I have now, the R9200. I get a modest 20-30 fps on medium settings which is good enough for me as I use it mostly for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. For that I don't need 4k at 120 fps. 30 is just fine. The card you mentioned is $1200.00+ here in Canada. What I was asking is which card in the AMD series was the next step up from the R9200? Which card was its successor? I just need a bit of a boost for VR. Thanks for your reply by the way.

@Bond_GamesBond @That is hard to say for AMD because they start to put out good  cheap cards that around Rx 480 and RX 580 other card will be expensive AF . Check Rx580 it support 4

Keep in mind the fps is not only connected to GPU you have, you might get different results with different CPU and RAM  and you need to make sure that your video card will not bottleneck with your CPU. 

Keep in mind right now the strongest GPU only can run 4k around 60 to 80 FPS . However you can play around with settings and get what you want you can check that website for benchmark and see what video card would you like . It will give you enough info to go with  also be advised that benchmark are on 1080p I think not 4k
