Adaptive sync compatible ?

Hi i have a amd rx 580 gpu and a samung freesync monitor - my question is my amd adrenalin software use to have a freesync on/off setting and since i have updated the driver and software i cant find the setting "freesync" the only setting i can find is "adaptive sync compatible" probably silly question but is "adaptive sync compatible" the new label for freesync ?

I have the same issue. I have a monitor that supports Freesync Premium Pro but in the Adrenalin Software is just the Option Adaptive Sync Compatible.

Hardware:

RX6900XT/RX 580

AOC G273QX

A friend of mine has also a Freesync Premium Pro monitor (Dell) with a RX6800 and for him it shows Freesync Premium Pro in the Adrenalin Software.

Any Solutions?
