I am getting the same problem.
Interesting part is that I can still interact with applications that are open.

Hey guys, i have the same problem. It stops after turning the monitor frequenz down to 60hz. I ordered a new Displayport cable, maybe that will fix it.

Did it fix it? Having issues with my 6950XT. My main monitor goes black randomly for like 2 seconds.

Seems like the new card likes a minimum of DP1.4, which is fine by me as I have a Linkup DP1.4 VESA certified cable. But, just for the heck of it, I'd also gotten a DP2.0 (supposedly VESA certified as well) for use with my RX 7900 XTX...

I am having the same issue with my 7900XTX with a single monitor (Dell S3422DWG)

The card has been installed for close to a month but last Thursday was the first time I had a  a few 1-3 second black screens. Then it was fine until yesterday when it happened again. I am using a Vesa Certified DP 1.4 cable and running the latest 23.1.1 Driver. i never experienced this issue with the previous card which was a RX 6950XT  Any additional suggestions?

I've the same issue and not fix yet. changing new DP, check the monitor to the service center, change the gpu card with a new one but problem still exist. update the chipset, bios, DDU done. But, if I change to HDMI port, it when normal on 144hz. No blinking black screen again. but i want a full performance in 165hz monitor using dp port. changing the cable and try the suggestion above still no fix for me.

I have this same issue with a 7800XT, my main monitor goes black for a second. Changed cables and DDU'd my drivers in safe mode. It happens about once a day and I'm worried sick about it.

Ryzen 7 7700, Asus TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7800 XT OC, 2x cable tried - the cable that came with the screen and a random 2m DP 1.4 cable. ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WIFI mobo.

Second screen hdmi connected 60hz asus old display.

Edit:
I just dropped the main screen to 144hz instead of unlimited/165hz and deactivated the internal APU in device manager. Hope it helps. I actually haven't tried to switch port yet so I guess that is the next step.

Can't edit my reply so I will just drop it here, I think this has been solved by dropping the screen to 60hz, as others have said in the thread. I will buy a new secondary screen that is 165hz so that I can use my main at full fps.
