My 6900xt will drop usage and clock speed causing fps drops and stutters. I have a b550 R5 3600 1000W power supply

This will only happen sometimes and usually fixed by restarting my computer. I have tried uninstalling drivers with DDU with no luck.

So what game/bench app. is/was running for the gpu-z readout.

Any particular game, in windowed/fullscreen or MS hybrid FSO mode.

At the time of the test Wall paper engine and discord were open.

This problem has occurred with just discord and League of Legends running in full screen. Computer will be running perfect then all the sudden the AMD overlay in the top right will flicker and the spikes will continue until I restart. 

The test is from the AMD stress test under preset "rage" mode (had the same spikes in all other presets)

Wallpaper engine, seen a few reports of it causing issues on the new cards.

Guess you have windows CU updated and the Discord fix update from a month or so back.

Just checked all windows updates are downloaded.

This test is with preset balanced and nothing open.

And you've tried with amd tuning disabled (let the card run at its vbios potential).

Doesn't balanced adjust clocks for slightly quieter/cooler ?

Never used amd tuning on my card.

Have seen people mention adjust min clock to 100Mhz under max to help hold higher mins.

Yeah i have tried the default. I had this same problem with a 6800 as well.

I will try manually adjusting mem clock

Not mem. clock, raise min. core clock in tuning.

Is this just about L of L, or general other games also.

It has also happened on COD cold war. When I do the manual overclock sometimes it will not spike others it will.

I don't have either of those games, so can't compare.

Have you tried asking on the (name of game) forums, see if anyone has or fixed same issue.

As to overclocking these cards, have you read guides/tips on some overclockers forums (rx6900xt  owners threads). Overclock.net & Overclockers uk are two that i know of.

same problem and amd in long sleeping can't wake up fixed this problem's
