590 loss of video signal

I have just bought a 590 fatboy and if I install the driver off the CD all is well until the computer has been idle for a while (not sleeping or hibernating, just the screen off), then, when I move the mouse the monitor reactivates but all I get on screen is "static".  

If I use the driver that Windows (10) installs I get stuttering with some video files, but don't lose the video signal from idle.  

AMD Ryzen 3600

X570 Aorus Elite

16GB HyperX DDR4

I would suspect that the CD driver is old, and windows usually installs an older driver also.

Try installing a newer driver Clean Install AMD Graphics Drivers
