Ordinary PC, 5700 XT. Just updated the drivers in case that was the issue.

When I wake the PC from sleep, the screen displays normally for a split second, then goes black for a moment, then the whole screen fills with what looks like static for a split second, then the screen displays normally.

It started doing this about a month ago. Not sure what changed. As I said, as far as I know, I've got the current drivers installed.

Once the screen displays normally, it's fine as it's always been, but it's a bit disconcerting to have it flashing around, showing static and such before it displays normally.

Ideas?

I wouldn't worry about it unless something changes, like how long this static shows or something. Could be monitors capasitors getting old.

That's not comforting, the monitor is only 3-4 years old. But, so far, it displays the static for less than a second, so I'll ignore it 'til it gets worse.
