A few days ago, my monitor resolution suddenly changed. I had it set to 1440X900. Windows changed it to 1366X768. I opened Catalyst and set it back to 1440X900, clicked apply and closed Catalyst. As soon as I do, Windows changes it back to 1366X768. I have not changed any software or hardware. I am using the same monitor I have had since I built this PC
Why is this happening and what can I do to permanently restore my 1440X900 settings?

I may have just solved my own problem!
1. Control Panel, Display, Screen Resolution, Advanced Settings, Adapter, List All Modes, select 1440 by 900, True Color (32 bit), 60 Hertz, OK
2. Works so far, hasn't changed yet.
Curious why changing it in Catalyst didn't affect a permanent change?
Why it changed it the first place is beyond me!
