Precisely my point. The entire post is about the 1700x cpu, which runs on the x370-am4 boards.
Threadripper boards run on the x399-tr4 chipset boards. These are the 1900x and up processors.
Not only are the am4 cpus not compatible with the tr4 cpus, the 1900x starts at $549 and goes to $1000
for the cpu alone.
Bottom line, none of this is relevant to what the OP asked, and he need not be confused about threadripper boards.
