StoreMI: RAID5 array with NVMe/SSD caching ???

Jump to solution

Hello,

I recently purchased a 2700X with an X470 motherboard (ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO (WI-FI)) and would like to setup my raid array.

I currently have a Highpoint RR2720SGL raid 5 array (6x3TB) in my 'old' machine that I will transfer to the new X470 machine.

Now my question is if I could make use of StoreMI to accelerate this RAID5 array with an NVMe or SATA SSD ???

The RAID5 array from the  Highpoint RR2720SGL shows as a single drive in Windows, so would StoreMI work with this???

Thanks,

Nick

No, StoreMI and Raid are not compatible.

OK,

that is unfortunate...  Was looking forward to an 'accelerated RAID5 setup...  :-)

Do you know of any other method to use and SSD/NVMe drive as 'cache' for a RAID5 setup?

(I'm using windows 10 pro...)
