I'm reaching out to report a serious performance issue I'm experiencing with my RX 9070 graphics card, specifically in Throne and Liberty. Despite testing the card in various games and benchmark tools where it performs well, this particular game presents consistent and severe FPS drops.
Here are the system specs for both myself and a friend, whose system performs significantly better:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
RAM: Kingston Best 6000MHz CL36 (32GB)
Graphics Cards: RX 9070 (mine) vs RX 7800 XT (friend’s)
Both systems are configured identically in terms of hardware and game settings (set to low), but the performance difference is substantial. On my friend's system with the RX 7800 XT, the GPU usage stays at a consistent 100% and around 300 watts power draw. However, on my RX 9070, GPU usage is extremely unstable, constantly fluctuating, with power draw varying wildly. This leads to frequent FPS drops and an overall poor gameplay experience.
