Sapphire Radeon 5500XT listed by Amazon...for $259

This is scary on multiple fronts. Not only is the replacement for the RX 560 much more expensive (we knew this would happen), but it puts it in direct competition of the GTX 1660Ti, which is... faster than the card AMD puts the 5500XT up against, the 1650 Super, as the 1650 Super is about the performance of a 1660, and the 1660 Ti is a good 34% faster than that.

And before anyone else makes the exceedingly false statement that the 5500XT replaces "all of the Polaris cards", this is the current lineup, from right to left, RX 550, 560, 570, 580, and 590 are replaced by the 5500 (OEM only), 5500XT, 5600XT, 5700, and 5700XT. The "anniversary edition" is like nVidia's "Founder's Edition", doesn't replace anything, and has no reason to exist. The high end Vega replacement comes next year.

The RX 5500 series do not offer anything vs my incumbent RX 480 8GB

Now if the card had 256 CU, I would sit up and take notice

More have been listed today, with review articles to come tomorrow as AMD was late with the driver package. AMD and the board partners have not seen the prices of the GTX 1660 Super...
