rx 7900 xtx

Recently got a sapphire pulse rx 7900 xtx and after using ddu to uninstall old nvidia drivers and installing radeon ones, games like escape from tarkov are unplayable (game stutters everytime i shoot) and things like wired VR dont work for me. Ive tried redoing DDU uninstalls for both nvidia and amd drivers but nothing has changed. Does anyone know any fixes that have worked for them? Or is this just another example of why being an early adopter sucks?

specs are r5 7600x asus b650 plus wifi and trident z5 32gb 6000mts

Unfortunately, there's often a little bit of early adopter jank with anything that relies on drivers and stuff. However, I think your issues with Tarkov may actually just be your typical Shader Compilation Stutter. It sucks but on fresh driver installs you lose your shader cache and if a game doesn't pre-compile shaders you get a stutter each time a new shader is shown. It's one of them things that should get better the longer you play.

When it comes to VR what kinda problems are you having? I've been using a fair bit of VR on my Nitro+ 7900XTX and I've actually had very few issues. (VR has always given a few issues regardless of hardware, so the odd crash from time to time is hard to point at anything in particular.).

my only issue with VR has been that i cant use my usb cable on my quest 2 anymore it just gives me a black screen so im guessing this is just meta not having added proper support for these gpus yet. i have virtual desktop and that works just fine but i dont like the added latency for multiplayer games

Try installing another game to see if it still happens or reinstalling Tarkov. Might try to clear shader cache first to see if that helps and check validity of game files (function in Steam and Epic atleast).

I had weird performance issue with Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday. Turns out, something was wrong with an overlay and game was a stuttery mess. Restarted computer, tried overlay with hot keys before starting game and it ran well.

If you have software like rivatuner or afterburner, I would disable or unistall them. XBox service has its own even if you don't use it. Radeon software has one. Geforce Experience had one. Then some other software have them too, maybe discord?
