Hi AMD community,

I’m experiencing unusually high idle power consumption (around 50–55W) on my RX 7900 XT when using dual monitors (1440p 165Hz + 1080p 60Hz). This happens even with no desktop apps running and hardware acceleration disabled.

• Updated to Adrenalin 24.5.1

• Toggled FreeSync/VRR on both monitors

• Tested different refresh rate combinations

1. Is this expected behavior for mixed-refresh multi-monitor setups?

2. Are there any BIOS or driver settings to reduce idle power draw without affecting performance?

3. Does AMD plan to address this issue in a future driver update?

And you are lucky, I sit at 110 at idle. Have since buying the card day of launch.
