Hi,

I've recently connected my PC to my HD TV from Philips, and although it looks great, from now and then the TV just goes 'green' fro a second and then

the colors go bonkers => it looks all pink and blue/inverted. That lasts for about 2 - 5 minutes and then it goes back to normal. It does it especially when I'm

playing some games or watch vidoes/youtube, however it also happens when left alone/when I'm working on the PC... BUT then it only lasts several seconds.

It also goes black for half a second from now and then, which however is not as annoying as the color switch, but it may be a part of the whole issue.

Also; I did this some time ago with the same TV and my Samsung RV520 Laptop ( also via HDMI cable ) and I did NOT have these kind of problems...

I've updated the TV software and enabled my AMD software to automatically scan for updates. The PC and the HDMI cable are all rather new.

After browsing on the net a little, I've discovered I'm not the only one who has the propblem when connecting from PC to TV, but I've noticed it was always an A

MD graphics card they were using, so I figured it probably has to do with the graphic card...

Here are the the SPECS:

- Philips HD TV ( about 7 years old => Model Nr.: 37PFL5604H/12 => LCD-Fernseher 37PFL5604H/12 | Philips )  ( I use HDMI cable and the TV settings are set for PC display )

- OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit

- Graphics Card: AMD Radeon ( TM ) R9 380 Series ( 4GB ),

- PC:

  ACPI x64 based PC

  Mainboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. ( M5 A97 EVO R2.0 ), Version Rev 1.xx

  Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB

  Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB

  Asmedia 106x SATA Controller

  AMD FX(tm) 8350 Eight Core Processor 4.00 GHz

  RAM 16GB

I hope this information is sufficient, as for the other specs I couldn't find out

Does anyone have an idea what's wrong? What can I do?

try a different video card and see if it resolved the problem

What's a video card? You mean graphics card? Am I supposed to buy a new video/graphics card just to test it out? Sorry, but that's kinda not in my budget - at all :\

Isn't there any other option?

I've tried a different HDMI cable, but the problem remains

Change pixel-format? How do I do that, can you tell me? Is that something I do directly on the TV settings or on my PC?

EDIT:

Ok, so I've googled around for a little bit and found out someone having exactly the same problem as I and they told him to change it through the

"AMD Vision Engine Center" to "PC-Standard-Pixelformat RGB 4:4:4 (full RGB)"

Now; the question I have: how and where do I get that Vision Engine Center thingie? I've only got this 'AMD Radeon Settings" icon where it shows the specs and what not, but no options to change the pixelformat

I don't have a tv connected, but win 10 "icc profiles" may be what your looking for.

There's a Tut on "tenforums.com", or post a query there.

Sorry, but I don't know what Wwin 19 "icc profiles" are nor did I find them anywhere on my PC.

I also checked that forum but didn't find any relevant tutorials/help/information.

There is a tutorial how to change the overal RGB settings for calibration, but my neon-color issue is not permanent; as I already stated

it only does it after a while, for several minutes ( someitmes longer, sometimes shorter ) and then it goes to display everything like it should be.

This occurs abourt every 10 - 15 minutes :\

Many display settings are now handled by win 10 OS, you should have this,

If that's not the problem, post a query on tenforums.com (someone there may know of the issue).

Hello!

I had the same Problem and the same TV.
All u have to do is open AMD Radeon Settings and then choose Display. Change the Pixel Format for the Phillis FTV to "RGB 4:4:4 Pixel Format PC Standard (Full RGB).

Done!

P.s.: If u do an Update u maybe have do to this steps again.
