Please help

Jump to solution

Hi everyone, I need some help: I have a 8970M and cannot seem to get more than 15 FPS on any game I play. I know for a fact that I can play most games on ultra with this card but for some reason, something is wrong. I have a cracked (recognizes it as original) version of windows 10 pro with the latest developer build, so, not sure if that has anything to do with the problem or not. All settings on my card are maxed out and drivers are up to date. Please help. Thx

Thank you so much!! I can't believe it was a power plan issue!

I am most grateful! ^^

Need help: once again, I can't seem to be able to play at 60 fps games that I used to with my 8970M... I am using high performance as a power plan and in the graphic settings! Please help... Thanks in advance!

You may want to open a new thread in the forums for this question, so that others can provide some input on it.

Please include more info on your system when you do... INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION

Make sure to include the OS version and the Crimson driver version you are using.

I can't provide you much more info then I already have.  If you have already checked all the settings and nothing has changed, it may be something to do with the resent updates to windows that have come out.

Just so you know, that card is getting close to being put into "legacy status".  What that means is that AMD will no longer be making any updates to it's drivers and Microsoft/window will only be providing a basic driver for it.

I actually managed to solve the problem by re-installing the driver!

Thks a bunch for your attention!! And also thks for the "legacy status": did not know about it!

If there is anything I can do to support you, please let me know!

Cheers!
