pcie 4x

Hi all - As a church music director, I've had to become a full-time covid video editor. I finally dragged by big i7 3770 PC with 32 GB ram from office to home and installed the 5500XT as an affordable upgrade for my video work.

I've installed the 5500XT successfully where the old GTX670 was. But then I noticed that my HUGE motherboard has a PCIe 4x slot available.

* Will I get better performance if I reinstall the  5500XT on the PCIe 4x slot?

* If I do change slots,  do I need to remove all drivers and AMD software and reinstall?

Thanks

use the same slot the GTX 670 was in which is likely be the primary video card slot

the extra slot is there for a peripheral such as a WiFi card or SATA card etc
