Does anyone know if there is any difference between the Windows and DOS versions of AMD flashing utility.
Because I had a power consumption problem where no matter how heavy the load I placed on this MSI GPU the power consumption never went over 105 watts. When the cards has a TDP of 225 watts. And also in the adrenaline control panel the power consumption slider was locked. Could not adjust it.
So I decided to try a reflash the vbios.
I first tried by utilizing the DOS flashing software. With no success, I tried again like another 3 times with no luck. I did say on all attempts that the flash was successful.
Then a few days late, I decided to try again but with the Windows version.
And BOOM! it worked. It was now using and displaying the proper amount of watts. Plus the power consumption slider was now working,
