It would be to replace Gigabyte AB350-Gaming 3-CF which I am completely unhappy with.
Or is there something better at around the same price point, in Canada that I should be looking at.
Thanks.

The AB350 is more for basic desktop use and not aimed at the overclocking crowd
The X370 boards are more expensive and are usually the choice for enthusiasts
As for memory speed, do not feel bad, many are unable to reach the speeds mostly as the BIOS is not yet done with all the tables needed for higher speed memory.

My ram is actually G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series F4-3200C16D-16GVK DDR4 3200MHZ
But for the life of me I cannot get the proper speed.
Hey there! The MSI X370 is an excellent model, but you could also check the Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 5, it's around the same price and it's a great motherboard as well. Both are great motherboards, I guess it'll come down to personal prefrences.
