Am running HD7700 Software 16.9.2.  Monitor loses connection to HD7700, screen goes black on a somewhat random basis.  Given I no longer have visibility on the screen I am forced into a power down.  Sometime the monitor connects and returns sometimes it does not.  I have replaced the HDMI cable.  I think there may be a problem on the graphics board and I am looking for a diagnostic utility to eliminate the HD7700 as the source of the problem.  Any ideas if such a utility exists?

There is no such utility unfortunately, but you could:

1. Try the GPU in a different system

2. Try underclocking the core/memory of the GPU by 300Mhz to see if that reduces the issue

3. Try using a different display connection, for example display port.
