Looking for advice on running Destiny 2 with FX-8320//RX 480 8gb//16gb ram

Just as the title says im running an FX-8320, RX 480 8gig, and 16 gigs of RAM none of which are OC'd. Im looking to get the best fps I can without sacrificing on visual quality and wondering if anyone else is running a similar rig and can give their ingame settings and average fps. I really appreciate any help and advice.

Thanks!

Techspot shows us that any card greater than the power of an RX 570 can maintain 60FPS minimums, but Gamer Nexus shows us that the game is very CPU dependent. The FX-8320 is a good 30% slower per core than the R3 1200, so the answer is you are not going to be able to run Destiny 2 with an FX-8320 at 1920x1080 max details at at least 60 fps, though you could average 60fps but there will be drops below it.

destiny2 cpu bench 1080p high

I am not looking to run it at max settings, I am looking to see what people with similar builds are using for settings that give them a stable 60fps at 1080. I do appreciate the info though.

It is worth noting that the Techspot GPU results were generated prior to the launch of the 17.10.2 driver, which gave up to a 43% increase on Vega based cards, and 50% increase on the Polaris based RX 580.  I imagine those numbers are much higher now for your GPU as well, and you'd have no problem playing on High at 1080P.

As for the CPU side of things, again the data above is dated.

Even the R3 and Pentium G4560 are running well above 60fps on the 0.1% low.  Even with the IPC drop of the FX series, you'll likely be doing just fine on the high preset at 1080P.  You may experience some dips below 60fps, but it shouldn't be much to worry about.
