Quick question about HDCP. Recently I have noticed that PowerDVD 16 (Ultra ver) suddenly stopped playing blu-ray movies from my collection that all played well before and I have not upgraded my hardware.
Here's more details:
AMD FX-8350 AM3+
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 rev. 1.1 AM3+
16GB Mushkin Enhanced Blackline Frostbyte (996776) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB
Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1
My monitor is hooked up using HDMI straight to the graphics card.
I have updated my graphics drivers to the latest Radeon Crimson 17.7.2 and I'm pretty sure that here may be a problem. Has anyone experienced similar issue? See attachment.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Greetings, I'm also looking for an answer.
HDCP is deactivated in my driver - I can't find any help to activate it.
It is not possible to watch a blu-ray on my system, and it makes me mad! I paid for these discs and can't watch them!
I've tried older drivers, other cables, reinstall windows, reset bios...nothing helps.
It looks like an AMD driver problem.
I'm using a R7 360 with updated Windows 10-64bit, driver is 17.8.2.
Before this card, I had a GTX 1070 and there was never a problem with HDCP. Nothing else changed in my system.
So please AMD - this needs to be fixed!
thanks for the advice! Unfortunately it didn't help...
I've also tried different cables, HDMI and DisplayPort, no difference.
Display is a Dell U2515H and with the Nvidia card there was never a problem with HDCP.
All drivers are properly installed, the blu-ray drive works perfect. It reads every disc, but PowerDVD won't play the content until HDCP is activated.
It looks like more people suffer from this, so please AMD help your customers!
