custom résolution

Hello.

i have a 2k monitor 2560*1440

I want to use a custom résolution 2560*1080 for racing games.

It works fine , but its automaticaly centered on my screen, same pixels above and dow the new custom screen.

But id' like to have it at the bottom of my screen and instead of having 180 lines above and under, juste have de 360 (1440-1080) lines above.

Is there a way to do this ?  i tried to change somes values in the many options of custom resolution, nothing change.

(note i d'ont havec an option in the iiyama screen to do this)

Thanks for reading

Have you tried / had a look in the screen's manual..? Some monitors have options for scaling options & custom positions.

Yes it's a iiyama xb3270qs-b1 and there is no option for moving the display area

ever heard of "scaling"?

set it to "fullscreen" instead of "aspect ratio" ;)

OR use CRU to set custom resolution

PC: R7 2700X @PBO + RX 580 4G (1500MHz/2000MHz CL16) + 32G DDR4-3200CL14 + 144hz 1ms FS P + 75hz 1ms FS
Laptop: R5 2500U @30W + RX 560X (1400MHz/1500MHz) + 16G DDR4-2400CL16 + 120Hz 3ms FS

If you just don't undertand the question or don't know how to do , just don't answer.

@Stefb

oh, did my answer hurt your feelings?

1. why do you want to use maintain aspect ratio when you can simply stretch it to fullscreen?
2. if you want it at the bottom of your screen with 360 lines above it: why not running it in a window?

afaik there is no solution to force the image to go to the botton and having the black bars on top

what you can try is CRU - to set the custom resolution - but it will simply cause a fullscreen application and no black bars... - but thats maybe not what you want. (but i dont know why anyone would want it the way you want)
