Those Seagate 4TB and 12TB drives again show they just can't be trusted!

Not sure why they have such bad luck with Seagate, I use them and they seem reliable

I avoid Seagate completely and any other HDD made by that company.

Yes they are cheap but you get what you pay for.

I bought a couple of Seagate HDDs in the past and I use a HDD/SDD monitoring software. The brand new Seagate HDDs in the monitoring software showed a couple in the major SMART categories that were already less then 90%.

I tend to purchase Western Digital which seems to have a higher quality HDDs. Whenever I purchase a WD HDD and check my HDD/SDD Monitoring software all major SMART Categories are showing 100%,  brand new and for at least over a year's worth of being used in my computer.

I had more than one Seagate HDD go bad within a year after purchasing them.

I do not see WDC in recent backblaze posts

I was stressing my own opinion about my experience with Seagate HDDs which happens to correspond with the quality of the company's hardware in Backblaze reports.

backblaze servers are not as well designed as other server appliances so i question their results

those red boxes do not have water cooling so the air flow is all they have
