Are these temperatures all right for my video cards?

Jump to solution

I have two cards: Sapphire R9 299 tri-X OC and Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 580. Both of them have quite high temperatures when under load (Ethereum mining), but the fans set on auto don't go up too high. They sit at 44% and respectively 22%. Is that normal? Should I just raise the fans threshold and will this affect power consumption and/or wear level drastically?
Screenshots below.

Thank you!

Those are pretty normal temps for high end cards under mining loads.

Those are well within spec. I have played some games that are more demanding..

Thanks!

I thought as much, but shouldn't the fans ramp up to lower the temp a bit? On the plus side, I don't have to pay for heating for my room this coming winter.

The stock fan curves are usually set to not ramp up until around 85°C.
