Hey friends,
So recently @johnnyenglish brought up a PC he build on PC simulator, and it reminded me that I wanted to start a discussion about this game.
I jumped in today and I will say, this game is pretty awesome and super helpful for people to get to know how to build PCs.
There is a campaign mode where you can debug and do little things for people's PCs and make money to then build a PC. Which is pretty cool and honestly, but to no avail I was stuck on the first task LOL. So I need to go back to the campaign sometime.
But today my primary goal was to go in and build an outrageous PC and get it to turn on. This took me 2 entire hours haha - which, I will say I tried to do a water cooler with a radiator and spent a lot of time trying to get it to work. In the end, I think I just had too small of a case to get it to work.
SHOUT OUT To all of you who have built a case with a cooler in it. I totally understand the pain of trying to get it to fit, and all the connections to look nice... and I only experienced it virtually so I can only imagine haha.
Here's the rundown of the parts - apparently this PC I built is $8K 😂
Motherboard: MSI MPG Sekira 500X
CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Riing Silent 12 RGB Sync Edition
Memory: G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Elite DDR4 Gold 16 GB 4800 MHz (64 GB total)
PSU: Corsair AX1600i
Fans: Corsair HD140 RGB LED x6
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT
CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X
Case: MSI MPG Sekira 500X
SSD: Team Group Cardea Zero Z340 M.2 PCIe 4TB
I will definitely boot this up again in the near future to try out the campaign mode and master building the liquid cooling rig I tried to build today. I can't wait to learn more!
If you're interested in trying out the game yourself, you can check it out on Steam here. If you have already played it, show me your rig!
I'm also curious what you think about the parts I chose.. Thoughts or opinions, I wanna hear them! 🙂
I think my other half would murder me if I ever spent $8k on a PC. 😂
This is pretty awesome though, and the overall concept of the game seems intriguing. I might have to give a try to see if I can be a master builder!
Its a very cool game, can be boring in the long run as it is very repetitive, but that's why it is my comfort game, every now and then I'll play it and make slow and steady progress 🙂
I'm trying now to unlock this achievement..
... but during my day job. (joking, or not... 😏)
My special build was around $6523 back in 9/09/2021, when the next Ryzen HITS PCBS, I'll do another.
As always, you can check the build and me babbling about it here:

BTW they are going to launch PCBS 2 soon!! And the graphics looked amazing.
I've owned that PC Simulator game for a few years now and I've regretted my purchase and the time I spent giving it a try. I don't know if it's me or if I am one of many who find the experience 'less than gratifying'. In any case, building computers for real is the only way to go in my opinion.
