Hello,
I am interested in capturing SDI video using Kona 3G card to FirePRO card.
Can you please tell me how I can get access to the SDILink SDK, and how it is licensed?
Also, are there other capture boards that support SDILink ? I know of one other by
Datapath: VisionAV-SDI Card. The VisionAV sdk does not seem to be freely available.
Thanks!
Aaron

Hey Aaron,
I'm thinking that your other topic in the DGMA forum is or could answer this:
http://devgurus.amd.com/thread/169974
Chris has jumped in on that one, and is probably the best resource to answer the question.
If you agree, let me know, and I can close this topic.
Hey Aaron Boxer
for the SDI Link SDK, as noted over on the DGMA forum... See this previous topic Re: sdi-link sdk
In that topic Christopher Mayer says
"the SDK is not publicly available. A tech brief is available on the following web site: http://www.amd.com/de/Documents/SDI-tech-brief.pdf
As described in the tech brief we provide DirectGMA as base technology for peer to peer data transfers between 3rd party SDI devices and FirePro GPUs."
I'll ping an engineer to see if they have input on the "other capture boards" question.
Jim
Thanks. I am a bit confused here: "not publicly available" means that only board manufacturers get access to the SDK?
That's fine, as long as I can write my OpenCL application that will be notified when frames get transferred, and can
get access to the memory.

Yes, good idea. Thanks for your help.
