I use Display Driver Uninstaller (Version 15.3.1.0) for a clean uninstall. After that is finished I proceed to install amd-catalyst-15.7.1-win10-64bit package and when it gets to 'Currently Installing: AMD Catalyst Install Manager' and error messages pops up and says 'Application Install: install pacakage failure!' I hit 'OK' and it continues installing other components. When its done it asks to reboot and when comptuer comes back on the display driver has not been installed; its using a VGA adapter. Also when I open the CCC some of the options aren't there at all. Does anyone have walkarounds or tips on getting this installed correctly...I would greatly appreciate it. I have put some information below that might help and if there is anything else anybody needs just let me know and I will get it.

Hi,
I had the same problem with my HD 7970 (received SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED by atikmpag.sys) and now found a solution:
1. Uninstall Lucid Virty MVP (if installed). This is usally active, if you upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1.
2. Install the AMD 15.6 Beta Driver for WIndows 8.1 from June22 "amd-catalyst-15.6-beta-software-suite-win8.1-64bit-june22".
Now your graphics adapter will be detected correctly and everything works fine.
The latest driver 15.7.1 is not working with my card and even after the solution, cannot be installed as Windows 10 tells me, that it is not suitable for this platform.
This issue has been fixed and anyone with APU's:
