"The following "Carrizo" series products are not supported with the AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3.2 driver - FX-8800P"
Any specific reason why the latest driver isn't compatible with my FX-8800P, it's kind of strange because it's supported on my friends A8-6410
Why does Radeon Settings keep saying there are new driver even though it's not compatible with my APU?
EDIT: The latest version of Crimson now supports FX-8800p!
I have notice the exact same thing. What is up with AMD not providing driver support for carrizo since 12/15. I am really regretting purchasing a laptop with this chip. First OEM screwed us now it seems AMD is finishing the Job.
The latest version of Crimson supports FX-8800p!
This from AMD web site about support APU for their latest drivers:
"The following "Carrizo" series products are not supported with the AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3.2 driver - FX-8800P, PRO A12-8800B, PRO A10-8700B, PRO A8-8600B, PRO A6-8500B, A10-8700P, A8-8600P and A6-8500P."
I tried all of the updates since 12/15 last year and my display driver does not get up dated. Everything else is updated except for the display drivers also check out the list of APU supported and you will see Carrizo is not supported.
I too am pissed this thing lost support in december 2015. Wasn't this a 2014 or 2015 chip? Bumma. Made mistake of getting a m6-p113dx hp with fx-8800p. HP refuses to fix parse error in bios for acpi to work in linux, and fx-8800p dual core 4 threads has been nothing but sub par for me. Should be fine for regular consumer, but even then, dropping support this soon seems strange to me. Been a long time AMD fanboy, but going to have to get a i7 6700HQ I think to get what I need done correctly.
