Thermal Pads recommendations for Sapphire Nitro + 5700 XT?

I am new in modding graphic cards and i am looking for some tips on modding my sapphire nitro + 5700XT and i am wondering if anyone have/had this card and added thermal pads on it that could help me with the recommended pads and thickess of them for this card.

I saw in a video that the pads are 1mm on the vrams and 2.5mm on the backplate but haven't opened mine to verify myself and i would prefer to wait until i am sure and can purchase the pads before hand.

If those thickess are correct, would those be the best sizes to use or would adding a thicker size (lets say 1.5mm) create problems with the contact points?

Any assistance or recommendations you can provide are greatly appreciated!

Write to technical support. You need to specify - P /N of the video card.

Ryzen 5 5600; ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING; Sapphire RX 6600 Pulse; G.Skill Trident Z 3200GHz CL14 /2x8 Gb; Seasonic Focus-GX-750W 80 Gold Plus; LG 27GR75Q-B QHD; Windows 11 Pro 23h2; Kingston KC2500 250Gb M2. /Kingston NV2 1TB M.2; SSD Crucial MX500; HDD WD Blue - 1T.

@mariadwyer it is very important to use the correct pad thickness.

Using thicker pads on the VRAMs could cause contact issues on the GPU die/thermal paste.
Which would then lead to overheating and the paste might not have contact to the entire GPU die.

Your best bet are the teardown videos on YouTube. Just stick to the name and model of your card.
I have had bad luck myself with contacting support - they most likely will just state to not disassemble the card yourself.

I did replace the pads and paste on my own ASRock RX 5700 XT without problems. But with no help from support.

I sent an email to Sapphire support and they gave me the dimensions.
Need to specify - Sapphire Nitro + 5700 XT and P/N.

P / N is needed, because in different series the size of thermal pads may differ. That's what Sapphire said.
