StoreMI V2 - Source device is connected to a thrid party controller

Hi there,

I cannot integrate my hard drive and SSD as a source or cache drive. The message appears: The device is attached to a memory controller from a third manufacturer.

Both the HDD and a SATA SSD are attached to the SATA connectors on the mainboard. All 6 Sata connections are connected via the X470 chip set. Only my other NVME SSD which is connected via the M.2 NVME connection can be integrated. The NVME connector is connected through the CPU.

Until yesterday I was still using StoreMI V1 with exactly this configuration. I successfully resolved and deleted the old tier volume. I even got the hard drive with Diskpart: Clean All.

Whats going on here ?

System: Mainboard: MSI X470 Gaming M7

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X

Chipset: X470

Cache-Device: NVME-SSD: Samsung 970EVO, 250GB (M.2 PCIe)

Windows-Bootdrive: Sata-SSD: Toshiba TR150, 480GB( 2,5" SATA 6GB)

Sourve-Drive: SATA-HDD: Toshiba HDWD130, 3000GB (3,5" SATA 6GB)

I got it solved.

First update the bios.

Then update chipset drivers and all remaining AMD drivers.

Download and update the last AMD 'StoreMI Bottom Device' drivers again.

In the device manager now the driver from the 'IDE ATA / ATAPI controller' Switch / update from 'Standard SATA AHCI controller' to the latest 'StoreMI Bottom Device' driver.

After restarting the PC, the entry 'IDE ATA / ATAPI Controller' disappears in the device manager and there is another entry under storage controller with the entry 'StoreMI Bottom Device'.
