Once again memory controller load stays at 100% usage all the time, at least on RX 580.
It was measured using MSI- Afterburner. I uninstalled it and tried GPU-Z with the same result.
I'm using an AMD Radeon™ RX 580 GTR XXX Edition 8GB White (RX-580P8DFWR).
So far, the only solution I found was going back to Radeon 17.5.2, which is the driver that doesn't make memory controller load usage stay at 100%.
I have already followed the Clean Install AMD Graphics Drivers guide.

I'm curious if this is just on RX 5xx's because I don't see this at all on mine. Then again, I don't have any processes running that would use the mem controller like that - like afterburner and other 3rd party apps etc. I know you mentioned that this doesn't happen on 17.5.2 for you, if you can try this again to confirm it, I would probably report it directly on the support form. Before doing so, try to uninstall any 3rd party apps or GPU controller/OC'ing/monitoring software to see if it isn't an update issue with those.
I'm experiencing the same thing on my R9 290X Windforce GPU... 4 GB VRAM...
I'm not using 3rd Party Tools, either...
It even states in the Features for the Update, that it did not fix the Memory issue... Or Wattman...
You should start a new thread. Most of people I know doesn't suffer this problem anymore. Have you tried erasing everything using DDU Display Driver Uninstaller?
Nope, I've not tried ddu yet, as I understood it, it did not really help. But it seems like i need to try it anyway.
