[Solved] Graphic corruption/artifacts in Visual Pinball X (5600XT 20.2.2)

Figured I'd break this out into a separate thread for Visual Pinball X

Visual Pinball download | SourceForge.net

Visual Pinball X is an old DirectX9 app.  With my new 5600XT and drivers 20.2.2 (and 20.2.1 / 20.1.4) there are visible artifacts/corruption when you play a table as seen below.  It appears that it is trying to anti-alias straight lines and failing, producing these black or transparent blocks (similar to my Links 2003 bug), especially see the bottom parts of the flippers which look chewed up.

Also if you load a table into the editor, and hit F6 to adjust the slope and lighting of the table, the table is completely missing.  Here are some screenshots including the settings which are producing this effect.  Note that my prior card, the R390 (circa 2015) does not have these problems with driver 20.2.2.

This issue appears to have been corrected via 20.5.1 drivers. Just tested successfully w/ an XFX Thic III Pro 5600XT.

I thought these games were OGL?

I notice you have 'surface format optimization' enabled which reduces some video settings. Try it without that.

Thanks, though wrong game.  I'm talking about Visual Pinball X which coupled with PinMAME allows ROM based pinball games.

The surface format optimization didn't make a difference, I still get the black squares.

Datapoint: I installed an XFX Fatboy RX590 Black and used 20.2.2 and these issues do not occur, so something with the combination of 5600XT and 20.2.2.
