I'm trying to use the last drivers available but this doesn't seem to work (they are provided for Ubuntu 18.04).

When will AMD provide my card's drivers for Ubuntu 19.10?

It seems to me that both the RX 580 and Ubuntu 19.10 are widely used.

Any official answer?

I just freshly bought and set up a system with Ubuntu 19.10. I have chosen RX580 due to alleged better Linux support by AMD (compared to the other big player in graphics chips market).

Unfortunately, no support for the modern systems is not "better support". Thus, I would also like an answer (more precisely, an update also running with Ubuntu 19.10). Thanks in advance.

Yes. I have the same problem. I have a Kubuntu (Ububntu 19.10). I have tried the 18.04 drivers but it does not work...

I have the same problem. My os is Ubuntu 19.10. And I have the RX-580 OC 4GB. My os does not see the video card.

It is now May 15, 2020 and I am having the same problem with Ubuntu 20.04.

AMD did NOTHING in this time. NOTHING. I wrote them and got back this canned corporate response.

Please note that as of now the driver support is available only for Ubuntu 18.04.

There is no driver support for Ubuntu 20.04 yet.
